an unusual name for a band

- What's a 7 letter word with three "u"s in it?
- I don't know, but it must be unusual... so what's your band called, then?
- "Haddocks' Eyes"
- That's an unusual name for a band!
- No, that's its name. It's called "Haddock's Eyes", its name is "An unusual name for a band". Ask our manager...

Memories… John  Mayall toured Oz in 1972, and played at the Uni commencement ball. A day or so later he played an impromptu gig in the Uni’s Union Theatre (499 seater proscenium arch theater) after he and the band had spent the previous day in the Barossa Valley (wine growing district). They were all sunburnt, and very relaxed, and it was a very intimate concert. Keef Hartley unleashed an amazing drum solo… I saw the concert from the Bio box. In those days I had “Blues from Laurel Canyon” “The Turning Point” and “Empty Rooms” on heavy rotation…

kg13:

John Mayall performs Room to Move at the link.

There is so much memory in this voice and music for me that it sends those body shivers and drops me back in about 1970.
~

Also: ROOM TO MOVE could almost be our theme song, eh Greg?

And one suitable for all Stumbler-to-Tumblers!
